Kin offers a number of tracing services that are tailored to meet your requirements and ensure you can achieve the best value for your organisation and your clients:

FORWARDING ADDRESS SEARCH

Designed to save you and your client money, our Forwarding Address Search can resolve your tracing enquiry in a faster time and at a lower cost than a full, and potentially unnecessary, Single Person Trace (below). Utilising our bespoke databases in line with other resources we aim to provide a positive outcome within hours of your initial enquiry.

Cost: £20 (+VAT) plus disbursements

SINGLE PERSON TRACE

If you have the name of the individual you need to locate and our Forwarding Address Search has not delivered a positive outcome, our Single Person Trace can provide you with the information you require. Our most popular service, the majority of lost individuals are located within 48 hours of your instruction.

Cost: £150 (+VAT) plus disbursements for up to 3 hours of tracing

PROBATE GENEALOGY SERVICE

Kin’s Probate Genealogy Service is the third tier of our tracing services and is ideal for complex or overseas cases that cannot be resolved using our Forwarding Address Search or Single Person Trace services.

Utilised predominantly by legal professionals, Kin’s Probate Genealogy Service employs our team of expert genealogists and, where necessary, our global network of affiliates to research hundreds of estates each year.

Cost:

Our Probate Genealogy Service offers a range of fee structures for your convenience. Whatever your requirements, you can be confident that we will be able to find the right solution for you.

Fixed Fee: We will provide a quote and agree to undertake the work for a fixed fee.

Time / cost basis: The time we spend researching a case is recorded and billed accordingly. The work will be supervised by an experienced researcher who will coordinate the case from start to finish. Out-of-pocket expenses incurred in providing the service, including copies of any certificates, Wills and Grants required, will be charged for at cost.

Conditional basis: Our fees are paid out of the heir's entitlement after all liabilities have been settled, including the cost of administering the estate. This arrangement is ideal if relatives who are still in contact with the deceased do not wish to suffer the expense of tracing relatives that have lost touch with the family.

We also trace lost or unknown:

  • Heirs
  • Trustees
  • Settlors
  • Protectors
  • Executors
  • Dormant account holders
  • Shareholders who have dissented or failed to claim dividends
  • Creditors of insolvent companies
  • Freeholders of land
  • Holders of life insurance policies
  • Pension trust beneficiaries
  • Successors to any of the above

To find a beneficiary now, submit an enquiry online and a member of our team will contact you to carry out a free initial assessment.
