TOWN OF DELTON — A man shot dead last week left nearly his entire estate to his accused killer, his youngest son, public records show.
Aside from leaving a motorcycle to his brother and $1,400 to a minor daughter, 55-year-old Angelo "Nick" Crisafulli, father of seven, left everything to Michael A. Crisafulli, 13, who prosecutors say shot his father to death last week with a small caliber pistol in their rural town of Delton home.
Though no precise amount is listed, estate documents filed with the Sauk County Register in Probate office show the estate is worth more than $50,000.
Wisconsin law prohibits anyone convicted of killing someone from receiving an inheritance from that person.
Meanwhile, school officials are reaching out to families and students impacted by last week's shooting.
"For the most part we're handling it as well as can be expected," said Tom Benson, superintendent of the Reedsburg School District. "We have some quality staff that are helping — not only students — but helping one another as we deal with an issue that clearly has an impact on us."
In a letter Friday to district families, Benson offered counseling services to students and families struggling to cope with the recent tragedy.
